How to Install Xerox WorkCentre 4250S Toner Cartridges?

  1. Close the printer's bypass tray. Then open the toner access cover on the right side of the printer and the front cover.
  2. Turn the lock lever to unlock position and lift the latch to release the cartridge. Then pull the toner cartridge out from the printer.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave Xerox WorkCentre 4250S printer toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Carefully align and insert the new toner cartridge into the slot until it is firmly seated in place. Turn the lock lever back to the lock position to secure the cartridge.
  5. Close the printer's front cover and the toner access cover.

Xerox WorkCentre 4250S Toner Cartridges FAQ's

Does toner last longer than ink?
In terms of longevity, toners are designed to last longer than regular ink. Since toners are designed for laser printers, they can produce more images and prints compared to the inkjet type of printer. Usually, toner also has a longer shelf life than regular ink since they are powder based and do not dry out.
Can I throw away empty toner cartridges?
About 1.3 billion cartridges are used every year. That is why it is highly preferred that toner and ink cartridges are recycled than letting them end up in landfills. You can bring your empty toner to local or big retailers or even to your local recycling facility. You can also check some websites online like earth911.com to look for recycling options for your cartridges.
