Xerox Versalink C400 Toner Replacement Guide

  1. Open the printer's front cover.
  2. Unclip the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced, then carefully pull the toner cartridge out from the printer.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave Xerox C400 toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Carefully align and insert the new toner cartridge into its respective slot until it clicks into place.
  5. Close the printer's front cover.

Xerox Versalink C400 Toner Cartridges FAQs

Can you refill Xerox toner cartridges?

Yes, genuine Xerox toner cartridges are refillable; however, it is not recommended since you have to replace some parts of the toner as well. If you think of refilling an empty toner cartridge, please bear in mind the following pros and cons. The major advantage of refilling is cost-efficiency. It'll be a way cheaper option rather than purchasing a new genuine one. On the other hand, refilled toner cartridges can have issues with print quality and durability. Toner consists of different parts such as rolling gears, cleaning blades and etc. These parts wear out over time which can cause noise when printing, low-quality printouts, and even leakage inside the printer. Another thing to look into is the imaging drum; these hold the image before the toner powder is applied to the paper. Just like the toner, parts of the imaging drum also wear and tear over time.

To sum it all up, we highly encourage you to have it refilled through stores that offer refilling services instead. If you choose to purchase a new one, we at CompAndSave offer a wide variety of cheap printer toner cartridges at a much lesser price without compromising its quality. Our toners are manufactured to meet or exceed the OEM specifications, which will save you from all the trouble of going through the process of refilling a toner cartridge.

Does using compatible toner damage printer?

No it doesn't. CompAndSave's compatible cartridges are engineered to be as comparable as the OEM cartridges. This means that the size, quality, and number of prints are designed to be as good as the original cartridges. Also, using compatible cartridges will never void your printer's warranty, so you can shop and use our cartridges without any worries.

What is the difference between original and compatible toner cartridges?

OEM or Original Equipment Manufactured cartridges are toner cartridges that are made by the same company that manufactured the printer. Compatible toner cartridges, on the other hand, are produced and filled by third-party companies. The parts used are brand new and are not recycled from OEM toner cartridges. The same procedure applies to compatible ink cartridges. Both provide the same quality of printouts, but the compatibles may surpass the OEM and are sold at a much cheaper price.
