Xerox VersaLink B600 Toner Cartridges FAQ's

Does toner last longer than ink?
In terms of longevity, toner are designed to last longer than regular ink. Since toners are designed for laser printers which can produce more images and prints compared to inkjet type of printer. Usually toner also has a longer shelf life than regular ink since they are powder based and do not dry out.
Do laser toners dry out?
Toner cartridges are powder-based and not liquid-based. This means that they do not dry out as the powder inside is already dry. But if a toner cartridge was not used for a long time, there's a possibility that the toner powder is not evenly distributed inside. This can cause uneven prints and smudges. To resolve this issue, you may shake the toner cartridge sideways to distribute the toner powder evenly. For more information, click Troubleshooting Tips and you will be redirected to the right page.
