How to Install Xerox Phaser 3610N Toner Cartridges?
- Open the printer's front door.
- Turn the lock lever to unlock position. Hold the drum unit in place and grab the handle of the toner, then carefully pull it out from the drum unit.
- Get your new CompAndSave Xerox Phaser 3610N printer toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Shake the toner cartridge for about six times and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner. Then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Carefully align and insert the new toner cartridge into the drum unit until it is secured in place.
- Put the lock lever back in to lock position to secure the cartridge.
- Close the printer's front cover.

- Does toner last longer than ink?
- In terms of longevity, toner is designed to last longer than regular ink. Since toners are designed for laser printers, they can produce more images and prints compared to the inkjet type of printer. Usually, toner also has a longer shelf life than regular ink since they are powder based and do not dry out.
- Do laser toners dry out?
- Toner cartridges are powder-based and not liquid-based. This means that they do not dry out as the powder inside is already dry. But if a toner cartridge was not used for a long time, there's a possibility that the toner powder is not evenly distributed inside. This can cause uneven prints and smudges.
