How to Install Xerox Phaser 3260 DNI Toner Cartridges?

  1. Open the printer's front cover.
  2. Grab the toner cartridge by its handle, then carefully pull it out of the printer.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave Xerox 3260 DNI toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Gently shake the toner cartridge four to five times and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Carefully align and insert the new toner cartridge into the slot until it is firmly seated in place.
  5. Close the printer's front cover.

Xerox Phaser 3260 DNI Toner Cartridges FAQ's

Is laser toner cheaper than ink?
In terms of cost-per-page, laser toner cartridges are cheaper compared to regular inkjet cartridges. This is because toner cartridges are designed for office or business use which requires a large amount of printing on a daily basis, while inkjet cartridges are mainly for small office or home use. A toner cartridge can print up to 1,000 to 45,000 pages depending on their yield, while regular inkjet cartridges can only print from 100 to 1000 pages. So with that being said, a toner cartridge can be way cheaper compared to regular ink in the long run.
How do I get more life out of my toner cartridge?
Make sure that the toner is not clogged. To check and clean the toner, grab a damp paper towel and wipe the nozzle of the toner cartridge to remove any clog. The next thing you can do is to remove the toner cartridge from the printer, and cover it with plastic or anything that can protect it from leaking. Then shake the toner cartridge. One other thing you can do is to adjust the settings of the printer settings to "Print in grayscale," which will help your printer avoid printing in "rich black."
