What is the difference between original and compatible toner cartridges?
OEM or Original Equipment Manufactured cartridges are toner cartridges that are made by the same company that manufactured the printer. Compatible toners cartridges on the other hand, are produced and filled by third party companies. Parts used are brand new and are not recycled from OEM toner cartridges. The same procedure applies to compatible ink cartridges. Both provides the same quality of print outs but the compatibles may surpass the OEM and are sold on a much cheaper price.
