How do you change the ink on a Pitney Bowes P700?
- Lift up the scale to remove it, then open the top cover.
- In the menu, press Replace Ink Tank.
- In the operation panel, press ENTER. You will see Insert Ink Cartridges prompt.
- Slide the green lever to the right to open the ink tank cartridge guard, then flip it open. Remove the used cartridge.
- Get your new Pitney Bowes P700 printer ink cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color along with the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Place the ink cartridge in the cavity with the label facing the front of your system. The ink cartridge's ridges on either side slip into the grooves.
- Close the latch of the ink cartridge guard, then close the top cover.
Pitney Bowes P700 Ink Cartridge FAQs
- How long does a Pitney Bowes ink cartridge last?
- CompAndSave's ink cartridges have a proven shelf life of 20 months. It is ideal to store the ink cartridge properly in a cool, dry place to ensure that it reaches its shelf life. If the answer that you are seeking is the page yield, that will depend on how the ink cartridge was manufactured and how much ink the cartridge can hold. CompAndSave offers the replacement Pitney Bowes 793-5 fluorescent red ink cartridge for your Pitney Bowes P700 machine.
- Why are ink cartridges so expensive?
- OEM ink and toner manufacturers claim that the high cost of these cartridges is due to the research and development of technologies to deliver high-quality ink and toners. However, it is worth noting that there are generic cartridges that exceed OEM requirements while being less expensive than their counterparts. CompAndSave's compatible and replacement ink and toner cartridges are engineered to meet or exceed OEM standards. That means to say, you can have the same print quality and page output without spending a fortune. Please keep in mind that using generic, remanufactured, or replacement cartridges will never void the warranty on your printer. For additional information, please visit our Ink Knowledge Base.
