Okidata MC860 MFP Toner Cartridge Replacement Guide

  1. Raise the printer's scanner assembly by pulling the release lever.
  2. Open the toner cartridge's top cover by pressing the cover release button.
  3. Turn the release lever for the cartridge that needs to be replaced to release it. Pull the right side of the cartridge first, then pull it completely out of the printer .
  4. Get your new CompAndSave Oki MC860 MFP toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  5. Insert the new toner cartridge into its respective slot, left side first, then the right side until it is firmly seated in place.
  6. Turn the lock lever back to its original position to secure the cartridge.
  7. Close the top cover and put the scanner assembly back into place.

Okidata MC860 MFP Toner Cartridges FAQs

Does using compatible toner void warranty?

Using compatible, replacement, or remanufactured cartridges will never void the printer's warranty. It is strictly ILLEGAL for them to void your warranty for using these types of cartridges. This is as per MAGNUSON-MOSS WARRANTY IMPROVEMENT ACT, United States Code Annotated Title 15 Commerce Trade Chapter 50, Consumer Product Warranties 15 Sections 2302.

Is it OK to use compatible toner cartridges?

Yes, compatible, replacement, or remanufactured toner cartridges are designed to meet or exceed the OEM specifications. This means that you can get the same print quality and number of prints without paying as much compared to the original toner cartridges. Our compatible, replacement, or remanufactured toner cartridges are also covered with 1-year 100% satisfaction guarantee, and using these types of toner cartridges will not void your printer's warranty. Why are toner cartridges so expensive?

OEM ink and toner manufacturers claim that the high cost of toner cartridges is due to the research and development of technologies to deliver high-quality ink and toner. However, it is worth noting that there are generic cartridges that exceed OEM requirements while being less expensive than their counterparts. CompAndSave's compatible and replacement ink and toner cartridges are engineered to meet or exceed OEM standards. That is to say, you can have the same print quality and page output without spending a fortune. Please keep in mind that using generic, remanufactured, or replacement cartridges will never void the warranty on your printer.
