Okidata C712 Toner Cartridge Replacement Guide

  1. Push the cover release button and fully open the printer's output tray.
  2. Release the cartridge by turning the lock lever to unlock position. Lift the cartridge on the right side and pull it out of the printer.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave Oki C712 toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Shake the toner cartridge five to six times and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Insert the new toner cartridge left side first, gently push it against the spring of the drum unit, then lower down the right part.
  5. Once the cartridge is firmly seated, slide the colored release collar to the left side.
  6. Close the printer's output tray.

Okidata C712 Toner Cartridges FAQs

Why are toner cartridges so expensive?

OEM ink and toner manufacturers claim that the high cost of toner cartridges is due to the research and development of technologies to deliver high-quality ink and toner. However, it is worth noting that there are generic cartridges that exceed OEM requirements while being less expensive than their counterparts. CompAndSave's compatible and replacement ink and toner cartridges are engineered to meet or exceed OEM standards. That is to say; you can have the same print quality and page output without spending a fortune. Please keep in mind that using generic, remanufactured, or replacement cartridges will never void the warranty on your printer. Can I throw away empty toner cartridges?

About 1.3 billion cartridges are used every year. That is why it is highly preferred that toner and ink cartridges are recycled than letting them end up in landfills. You can bring your empty toner to local or big retailers or even to your local recycling facility. You can also check some websites online, like earth911.com, to look for recycling options for your cartridges.

Is it OK to use compatible toner cartridges?

Absolutely! CompAndSave's generic, compatible, replacement, or remanufactured toner cartridges are designed to meet or exceed the OEM specifications. This means that you can get the same print quality and the number of prints without paying as much compared to original Okidata toner cartridges. Aside from this, using generic toner cartridges will never void the printer's warranty. So you can shop and use our toner cartridges without any worry.
