How to Install Okidata B6200n Toner Cartridges?

  1. Open the printer's top cover.
  2. Grab the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced, then carefully pull it out from the printer.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave Oki B6200n toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Gently shake the toner cartridge for about seven to eight times and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner. Then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Carefully align and insert the new toner cartridge to its respective slot until it is firmly seated in place.
  5. Close the printer's top cover.

Okidata B6200n Toner Cartridges FAQ

How do I know what toner cartridge I have?
To know what type of toner cartridge you have or the model your printer needs, you may check the manual that came with the printer and look for supplies. You may also check the existing cartridge you have. Somewhere in front or on the back should be a label or sticker with the model number. This model number is usually a combination of alphanumeric characters. For example, the Okidata B6200n printer uses the toner that has the model code of Okidata 52114501.
How do I get my printer to accept compatible cartridges?
By default, compatible, replacement, or remanufactured toner cartridges should automatically work without doing any configuration. But in case your printer didn't print after installing these types of cartridges, the first thing to do is to verify that you are installing the correct cartridge. To verify this, you may check the printer's manual or check the previous cartridge that works on your printer. In front or on the side should be a label with the model number. For example, the Okidata B6200n printer uses a cartridge that has the model code of Okidata 52114501. Once this is verified, the next step is to remove the cartridge, shake it for about five to six times and reinstall it back to your printer. Then turn off your printer for 15 minutes.
