Lexmark M3150 Toner Cartridges FAQ

Does using compatible toner void warranty?
Using compatible, replacement, or remanufactured cartridges will never void the printer's warranty. It is strictly ILLEGAL for them to void your warranty for using these types of cartridges. This is as per MAGNUSON-MOSS WARRANTY IMPROVEMENT ACT, United States Code Annotated Title 15 Commerce Trade Chapter 50, Consumer Product Warranties 15 Sections 2302.
What is the difference between original and compatible toner cartridges?
OEM or Original Equipment Manufactured cartridges are toner cartridges that are made by the same company that manufactured the printer. Compatible toners cartridges, on the other hand, are produced and filled by third-party companies. Parts used are brand new and are not recycled from OEM toner cartridges. The same procedure applies to compatible ink cartridges. Both provide the same quality of printouts, but the compatibles may surpass the OEM and are sold at a much lower price.
