Lexmark CX510de Toner Cartridge Replacement Guide
- Open the printer's top cover.
- Lift the handle on the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced, then carefully pull it out of the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave Lexmark CX510de cartridges. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.

Do laser toners dry out?
Toner cartridges are powder-based and not liquid-based. This means that they do not dry out as the powder inside is already dry. But if a toner cartridge was not used for a long time, there's a possibility that the toner powder is not evenly distributed inside. This can cause uneven prints and smudges.
