  3. Get your new CompAndSave Kyocera TASKalfa 221 printer toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Carefully align and insert the toner cartridge. Make sure the toner cartridge is secured in place.
  5. Close the printer's front cover.

Most Common Kyocera TASKalfa 221 Toner Cartridge Questions

Are toner cartridges cheaper than ink cartridges?
In terms of cost-per-page, laser toner cartridges are cheaper compared to regular inkjet cartridges. This is because toner cartridges are designed for office or business use which requires a large amount of printing on a daily basis, while inkjet cartridges are mainly for small office or home use. A toner cartridge can print up to 1,000 to 45,000 pages depending on their yield, while regular inkjet cartridges can only print from 100 to 1000 pages. So with that being said, a toner cartridge can be way cheaper compared to regular ink in the long run.
Why is toner so expensive?
OEM ink and toner manufacturers claim that the high cost of toner cartridges is due to the research and development of technologies to deliver high-quality ink and toner. However, it is worth noting that there are generic cartridges that exceed OEM requirements while being less expensive than their counterparts. CompAndSave's compatible and replacement ink and toner cartridges are engineered to meet or exceed OEM standards. That is to say; you can have the same print quality and page output without spending a fortune. Please keep in mind that using generic, remanufactured, or replacement cartridges will never void the warranty on your printer.
