HP ENVY Pro 6458 Ink Cartridge Replacement Guide
- Make sure that the printer is turned on and load a stack of plain white paper in the paper tray.
- Open the printer ink access door by lifting it until it's locked in place.
- The ink cartridge's carriage will automatically move, so make sure to wait for it to completely stop moving before you proceed.
- To release the ink cartridge, just lift the ink cartridge cover, then pull the cartridge out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave HP 6458 ink cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the HP Envy 6458 ink cartridge into its respective slot and put the ink cover back into place.
- Close the printer ink access door and try to print a test page.

- The difference between the standard HP 67 and high-yield HP 67XL ink cartridges is the page yield. The standard HP 67 black ink cartridge can print up to 120 pages at 5% coverage, while the high-yield HP 67XL can deliver up to 240 prints at 5% coverage. As for the tri-color cartridges, the standard HP 67 can print up to 100 pages at 5% coverage, while the high-yield HP 67 XL can give up to 200 printouts at 5% coverage. Each CompAndSave HP 67 cartridge, whether standard or high-yield, costs $19.5 only.
- What do I do when my printer says incompatible ink cartridge?
