HP ENVY 5010 Ink Cartridge Replacement Guide
- Check if the paper is loaded into the main tray, then turn on your printer.
- Lift the cartridge access lid with the handles on the sides of the printer until it locks into place.
- Pull the cartridge up and out of the slot after opening the latch.
- Get your new CompAndSave HP ENVY 5010 ink cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color along with the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the new HP 5010 ink cartridge into its correct color-coded slot. Check that it is properly placed in the carriage, and close the latch.
- Close the cartridge access cover.

The HP ENVY 5010 printer uses the standard yield HP 65 and high-yield HP 65XL ink cartridges in black and tri-color.
