HP DeskJet 2628 Ink Cartridges Replacement Guide
- Make sure that the printer is turned on and load a stack of plain white paper in the paper tray.
- Lower the printer's output tray and open the ink access door. Wait for the ink cartridge's carriage to move and settle in the middle of the printer.
- Lightly press down the ink cartridge that needs to be replaced to release it. Then, pull it out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave HP 2628 ink cartridge, and open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the new ink cartridge into its respective slot and slightly push it until it clicks into place.
- Close the printer's ink access door.

Can I use Epson ink in HP printer?
The short answer is no. HP and Epson ink cartridges have different sizes, fittings, contacts, and printer compatibility.
