How do I change the ink in my HP DesignJet 5000ps?
- The ink cartridge information is displayed on the front panel. Press Enter after selecting the ink cartridges menu.
- Highlight Replace Ink Cartridge with the Up or Down Arrow keys and press Enter.
- Remove the corresponding color ink cartridge by pushing the ink cartridge's dimpled recess inward and upward.
- Remove the ink cartridge horizontally.
- Get your new CompAndSave HP DesignJet 5000ps printer ink cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the toner cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color along with the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Hold the new ink cartridge so that the color label is facing you. Insert the fresh ink cartridge into the slot and press it in until you feel it resist. Press firmly inward then downward on the dimpled recess on the front of the ink cartridge until the ink cartridge clicks into position.
- Inspect the front panel display to ensure that the cartridge was properly installed.
- Press enter to proceed.
