HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M856x Toner Cartridges Replacement Guide

  1. Open the printer's front door.
  2. Grab the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced by its handle, then carefully pull it out from the printer.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave HP M856x toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Shake the toner five to six times and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Carefully align and insert the new toner cartridge into its respective slot until it is firmly seated in place.
  5. Close the printer's front door.

HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M856x Toner Cartridges FAQ

Why is HP laser toner so expensive?
OEM ink and toner manufacturers claim that the high cost of cartridges is due to the research and development of technologies to deliver high-quality ink. However, it is worth noting that there are generic cartridges that exceed OEM requirements while being less expensive than their counterparts. CompAndSave's compatible and replacement ink cartridges are engineered to meet or exceed OEM standards. That is to say, you can have the same print quality and page output without spending a fortune. Please keep in mind that using generic, remanufactured, or replacement cartridges will never void the warranty on your printer. For additional information, please visit ink knowledge base, and you will be redirected to the right page.
Can you use generic toner in HP laser printer?
Absolutely! CompAndSave's replacement, remanufactured, or compatible toner cartridges are designed to meet or exceed the OEM specifications. This means that you can get the same print quality and the number of prints without paying as much compared to the original toner cartridges. Using these types of cartridges will not void your printer's warranty. To know more about these types of cartridges, click ink knowledge base, and you will be redirected to the right page.
Which is cheaper toner or ink cartridge?
Yes, toner cartridges are cheaper compared to regular ink cartridges in the long run. Laser printers that use toner cartridges are designed for office use which requires a lot of printing. Inkjet printers, on the other hand, are mostly for home or small office use. Typically a toner can print from 1,000 to 30,000 pages, while ink cartridges can print up to 100 to 3,000 pages depending on their make and model. With that being said, the cost-per-page of a toner cartridge is much cheaper compared to regular ink cartridges, making it a better option, especially if you print a lot on a daily basis.
