How do I install HP 2840 toner cartridges on my printer?
- To open the scanner assembly, press the scanner-release button.
- Open your printer’s cartridge access door. Ensure that the toners are in an accessible position.
- To remove the first cartridge from the carousel, pinch the two large blue tabs together and raise the cartridge straight up.
- Get your new CompAndSave HP Color LaserJet 2840 toner cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case of powder leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the toner cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color along with the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Squeeze the toner cartridge's blue release levers while holding it with the roller facing you. Lower the toner cartridge into the carousel straight down until it is securely in place.
- Close your printer’s top cover, then the scanner assembly.
- Do a test print.
