How do I Change the Ink in my HP 2500C Pro Printer?

  1. Make sure the printer is on.
  2. Lift the ink cartridge cover to open it.
  3. Remove the empty ink cartridge.
  4. Get your new HP 2500C Pro ink cartridge. Open your new ink over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  5. Install your new HP 2500C ink cartridge into the appropriate slot until it clicks.
  6. Close the ink cartridge cover.

HP 2500C Pro Ink Cartridge FAQ

Can I put color cartridge in black slot?
The answer is no. Installing the color ink in the slot intended for black will damage your printer. With this, we highly suggest you to be extra careful when installing a new ink cartridge to save you from the hassle.
What is the difference between black and PGBK ink?
A PGBK ink means it is a pigment-based black ink while the other is a regular or dye-based ink. The difference is that pigment black smudges less and delivers longevity which is best for photo prints; however, it is expensive. On the other hand, dye-based inks are cheaper and produce more vibrant colors, but they fade rather quickly. With this, dye-based ink is a good choice for printing documents.
