How to change Epson R2880 ink cartridges on printer?
- Make sure that the printer is turned on and the CD/DVD tray is not inside the printer.
- Remove all paper and other media from the printer and that the document feeder is not open.
- To access the ink cartridges, just lift the printer cover. Avoid touching the white cables inside the printer and do not move the ink cartridges manually or by hand.
- Press the droplet icon. The ink carriage will move and will stop once it's ready for ink replacement.
- Open the ink carriage to expose all the ink cartridges. Release the ink cartridge by gently press the tab at the end of the cartridge. Then pull it out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave's Epson R2880 ink cartridge, shake it for about four to six times before opening from the package. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the Epson Stylus Photo R2880 ink on the appropriate slot for its color, you should hear a snap indicating that its locked in place.
- Close the printer lid and press the droplet ink button to start the ink charging process. Let this process finish on it’s own. When it’s done, you can now load plain paper and run the print test.
Most Common Epson R2880 Ink Cartridges Questions
- Can you use generic Ink on Epson printer?

- How do I get my Epson printer to ignore empty ink cartridges?
- Most Epson inkjet printers have a metering system that notifies the customer when the cartridges are running low on ink. The microchip would then shut down the printer and prevent printing unless you install a new cartridge. In order to bypass or ignore the empty ink cartridges, you may try to follow these steps. Open the cover and hold the ink button down. When the ink holder returns to its original location, open the lid of the cartridge that does not contain ink and close it without withdrawing the cartridge. Now, close the cover and try to start printing. To avoid printing issues, we highly suggest you replace any empty ink cartridges. CompAndSave offers a wide variety of cheap printer ink cartridges without compromising its quality so you can print to your heart's content.

Review for Remanufactured Epson T096920 - Epson 96 Light Light Black Ink Cartridge - T0969I recommend this productHi! My order was fine, but I ordered wrong ink size..didn't notice until I couldn't insert in printer. . I was needing ink for my Epson Stylus Photo R2880. I mistakenly ordered wrong size. I did open the box LC. I just figured you couldn't give refund since one is opened, wouldn't fit. Now I'm not sure what to do with the rest of them. Wish I could use the ink from them to fill empty cartridges! But my service was great. VickiWas this review helpful?
