Epson ET-2851 Ink Tank Refilling Guide
- Make sure that the printer is turned on, then raise the scanner assembly until it locks into place.
- Open the printer's ink tank cover and then open the cap of the ink tank that needs to be refilled.
- Get your new CompAndSave Epson EcoTank ET-2851 ink bottle and open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink bottles.
- Align the ink bottle into the filling port of the ink tank and put the bottle in a standing position. Let the ink bottle refill the ink tank, and do not squeeze the bottle.
- Once the ink tank is adequately filled, remove the ink bottle.
- Close the ink tank cap and cover, then put the scanner assembly back into place.

- Are all Epson EcoTank bottles the same?
- The short answer is no. Epson EcoTank ink bottles have different formulas and printer compatibility. Refilling the ink tank with the wrong ink bottle model can cause printing issues and might damage the printer. So make sure to only refill your EcoTank printer with the ink bottle intended for it. - Are ink bottles better than cartridges?
- It depends; if you are looking to save on consumables, then yes, ink bottles are a better option compared to cartridges.
