Most Common Dell B3460dn Toner Cartridge Questions
- Are high yield toner cartridges worth it?
- Yes. Purchasing XL cartridges is preferable since they function the same as normal cartridges but can print more pages. That being said, you won't have to buy and install fresh toner as frequently as you would if you were using standard toner. Although it's a bit pricier, using an XL toner cartridge will save you money in the long term since the cost of printing each page with an XL toner is way less than the cost per page of using a standard yield toner cartridge.
- What is the difference between original and compatible toner cartridges?
- OEM or Original Equipment Manufactured cartridges are toners or ink cartridges that are made by the same company that manufactured the printer. Compatible toners cartridges on the other hand, are produced and filled by third party companies. Parts used are brand new and are not recycled from OEM toner cartridges. The same procedure applies to compatible ink cartridges. Both provides the same quality of print outs but the compatibles may surpass the OEM and are sold on a much cheaper price.
