Canon TS7720 Ink Cartridge Replacement Guide

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on, and then open the printer's top cover.
  2. Open the printer's paper output cover.
  3. The ink cartridge's carriage will automatically move, so make sure to wait for it to stop moving before you proceed.
  4. Open the locking cover to release the ink cartridge, then remove it from the printer.
  5. Get your new CompAndSave Canon PIXMA TS7720 ink cartridge, and open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  6. Insert the new ink for Canon TS7720 into its respective slot, then put the lock lever back in its original position until it clicks.
  7. Close the printer's top cover.

Canon TS7720 Ink Cartridges FAQs

What ink does a Canon TS7720 use?
The Canon PIXMA TS7720 printer uses the standard yield Canon PG-285 black and Canon CL-286 color ink cartridges. This printer is also compatible with the high-yield Canon PG-285XL black and Canon CL-286XL ink cartridges. CompAndSave offers replacement Canon PG-285, CL-286, PG-285XL, and CL-286XL ink cartridges, which can work as a replacement for the original Canon ink cartridges but at a much more affordable price.
Do all Canon ink cartridges fit all printers?
The short answer is no. Not all Canon printers use the same ink cartridge. The best way to check the ink cartridge for your printer is to check the printer's manual. You may also check the existing cartridge installed on your printer. In front should be a label with the model number. For example, the Canon PIXMA TS7720 uses the ink cartridge that has the model code of Canon PG-285 and CL-286 for standard yield and Canon PG-285XL and CL-286XL for high yield. If you need more specific instructions, you can check our guide What ink does my printer use?, and you will be redirected to the right page.
Why is Canon PIXMA ink so expensive?
OEM ink and toner manufacturers claim that the high cost of toner cartridges is due to the research and development of technologies to deliver high-quality ink and toner. However, it is worth noting that there are generic cartridges that exceed OEM requirements while being less expensive than their counterparts. CompAndSave's compatible and replacement ink and toner cartridges are engineered to meet or exceed OEM standards. That is to say; you can have the same print quality and page output without spending a fortune. Please keep in mind that using generic, remanufactured, or replacement cartridges will never void the warranty on your printer.
