Canon TS6420 Ink Replacement Guide
- Make sure that the printer is turned on.
- Grasp the handles on the side of the printer, then lift the scanning unit to access the ink cartridges.
- The ink cartridge's carriage will automatically move, so make sure to wait for it to stop moving before you proceed completely.
- Carefully open the lid that is covering the ink cartridge. Then pull the cartridge out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave Canon PIXMA TS6420 ink cartridge, and open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color and the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the new ink for Canon TS6420 into its respective slot. Then put the lid cover back into place to secure the cartridges.
- Put the scanning unit back into place.

What ink does the TS6420 use?
Canon PIXMA TS6420 printer uses the standard yield PG-260 black and CL-261 tri-color ink cartridges. This printer is also compatible with the high yield PG-260XL and CL-261XL, which also come in the same color variation. High-yield ink cartridges have more ink volume and can print more pages compared to the standard yield.
