Canon MG5520 Ink Replacement Guide
- Turn the printer on.
- Lower the front cover to open.
- Open the control panel and the paper output tray to gain access to the ink cartridges.
- The ink cartridge carrier will move and settle for a cartridge replacement position. Do not hold the print head holder to stop or move it forcibly. Avoid touching the print head until it stops completely.
- You will know which cartridge needs to be replaced as it will have a fast flashing light. If you are replacing multiple cartridges, do it one at a time. Do not remove multiple cartridges from the holder.
- Get your new CompAndSave's Canon printer MG5520 ink cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes if it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges.
- Remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it and make sure to touch the black plastic part only.
- Insert the new Canon PIXMA MG5520 ink cartridges at a slight angle into the print head, head first.
- Insert the cartridge completely until it clicks into place.
- Close the control panel. Should a message appear on the screen click OK.
- Close the front cover.
