How do I change the ink cartridge in my Canon PIXMA iP3500?
- Turn on your printer, then open the top cover.
- Open the paper output tray.
- Remove the ink tank with a fast-flashing or off the light. Remove the ink tank by pushing the tab. Remove only the ink tank, not the print head lock lever.
- Get your new CompAndSave Canon iP3500 ink cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color along with the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the new Canon iP3500 printer ink cartridge into the print head. Press the 'PUSH' mark on the ink tank until it locks securely into place. Secure that the ink tank lamp is red.
- Close the top cover.
