Canon PIXMA G4280 Ink Replacement Guide

  1. Printer should be turned on.
  2. Open the printer's scanner by lifting it. Do not touch the tubes or any inside part of the printer to avoid issues.
  3. Lift to open the ink cover of the tank that needs to be refilled.
  4. Get your new CompAndSave Canon G4280 ink refill bottle and open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink bottles.
  5. Carefully align the Canon G4280 ink refill bottle opening into its respective tank's ink inlet, then slowly put it in an upside-down position then carefully push it in.
  6. Support the bottle with your hand until the ink tank is adequately refilled.
  7. Close the ink tank cover and put the scanner back into place.

Canon PIXMA G4280 Ink Bottles FAQs

Do ink tank printers dry up?

Just like inkjet printers, ink tank printers also use liquid-based ink. This means that ink for ink tank printers also dries up, especially if the printer has not been used for a long time. This can result in some issues, like a clogged nozzle. To avoid this issue, make it a habit to print even small documents on your printer or run some maintenance cleaning via the printer's setting to keep the nozzle moist.

Do all PIXMA printers use the same ink?

Not all Canon PIXMA ink cartridges are the same. The best way is to check first what specific cartridge your printer uses. You can easily do this by checking your printer manual, or cartridge package, or by doing a quick search using your printer name.
