How to Install Canon C5255 Toner Cartridges?

  1. Open the printer's toner access cover.
  2. Choose the color that needs to be replaced in the printer's control panel, then press 'Remove Toner Cartridges'.
  3. The toner's internal cover will automatically open, then pull the toner cartridge out of the printer.
  4. Get your new CompAndSave Canon imageRUNNER Advance C5255 toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Gently shake the toner cartridge and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  5. Carefully align and insert the new toner cartridge into its slot until it is firmly seated in place.
  6. Close the internal and toner access cover.

Canon C5255 Toner Cartridges FAQ's

Is laser toner cheaper than ink?
In terms of cost-per-page, laser toner cartridges are cheaper compared to regular inkjet cartridges. This is because toner cartridges are designed for office or business use which requires a large amount of printing on a daily basis, while inkjet cartridges are mainly for small office or home use. A toner cartridge can print up to 1,000 to 45,000 pages depending on their yield, while regular inkjet cartridges can only print from 100 to 1000 pages. So with that being said, a toner cartridge can be way cheaper compared to regular ink in the long run.
Is remanufactured toner as good?
Yes, remanufactured, compatible, or replacement toner cartridges are designed to meet or even exceed the OEM specifications. This means that you can get the same print quality and the number of prints without paying as much compared to original toner cartridges. Using these types of toner cartridges doesn't void your printer's warranty. For more information, click ink knowledge base and you will be redirected to the right page.
