How to Install Canon C5235 Toner Cartridges?

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on.
  2. Using the printer's control panel navigate and go to 'Settings', then 'Maintenance', followed by 'Replace Specified Toner'. After this, open the printer's front cover, then choose the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced. Wait for the toner cover to open automatically, then remove the toner from the printer.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave toner Canon C5235 cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Insert the new toner cartridge into the slot until it clicks into place, then close the toner cover.
  5. Check for the confirmation on the printer's control panel and close the printer's front cover.

Canon C5235 Toner Cartridges FAQ's

Are toner cartridges cheaper than ink cartridges?
In terms of cost-per-page, laser toner cartridges are cheaper compared to regular inkjet cartridges. This is because toner cartridges are designed for office or business use which requires a large amount of printing on a daily basis, while inkjet cartridges are mainly for small office or home use. A toner cartridge can print up to 1,000 to 45,000 pages depending on their yield, while regular inkjet cartridges can only print from 100 to 1000 pages. So with that being said, a toner cartridge can be way cheaper compared to regular ink in the long run.
What is the difference between original and compatible toner cartridges?
OEM or Original Equipment Manufactured cartridges are toner cartridges that are made by the same company that manufactured the printer. Compatible toner cartridges, on the other hand, are produced and filled by third-party companies. The parts used are brand new and are not recycled from OEM toner cartridges. The same procedure applies to compatible ink cartridges. Both provide the same quality of printouts, but the compatibles may surpass the OEM and are sold at a much lower price.
