How do I change the ink in my Brother MFC j885dw?
- Open the ink cartridge cover.
- Press down the release lever and remove the ink cartridge for the color shown on the LCD.
- Get your new CompAndSave Brother J885DW ink. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color along with the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Release the vacuum seal by rotating the green knob clockwise on the protective yellow cap, then pull the cap.
- Install the ink cartridge into its correct color slot. Make sure to follow the arrow on the label.
- Close the ink cartridge cover.
