How do I change the ink in my Brother MFC j6945dw?
- Turn your printer on, then open the ink cartridge cover.
- Get your new CompAndSave Brother J6945DW ink. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color along with the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Gently shake the ink cartridge horizontally up to 15 times.
- Insert the ink cartridge in the appropriate slot. To install the ink cartridge, press "PUSH" until it clicks into place.
- Put the ink cartridge cover back on. The cleaning process begins and lasts around seven minutes. Do not turn the machine off or unplug it.
- Click "OK" to print the quality check sheet when the cleaning is complete.
