Brother MFC-9140CDN Toner Replacement Guide
- Make sure that the printer is turned on.
- Open the printer's top cover until it stays in place.
- Remove the toner cartridge and drum assembly that needs to be replaced from the printer.
- Press the green lever to release the toner, then pull the toner out from the drum unit.
- Get your new CompAndSave Brother 9140CDN toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Shake the toner cartridge five to six times and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the new Brother MFC-9140CDN toner cartridge into the drum unit and gently push it in until it clicks into place.
- Clean the corona wire by sliding the green tab left and right several times.
- Insert the toner cartridge and the drum assembly back into the printer slot.
- Close the printer's top cover.

Well let me tell you, I've have mine for nearly four years (obviously I don't print much lol that's why I have a laser printer and not an inkjet) and they still print beautifully!
