How to change Brother MFC-7840W toner cartridges on printer?
- Get access to the toner cartridge by opening the front cover.
- Gently pull the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly out of the machine.
- Look for the green tab and push it down to separate the used toner cartridge and the drum unit.
- Get your new CompAndSave Brother 7840W toner cartridges. Gently shake the toner sideways for about 5 to 6 times before opening it from the package. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color and the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the Brother MFC-7840W printer cartridge into the drum unit until it clicks into place.
- Slide the green tab sideways multiple times. This process will clean the wire within the drum unit.
- Put the toner and drum assembly back to its original position inside the machine.
- Raise the front cover to close.
