How do I change the ink in my Brother MFC-495CW?
- Ensure that your printer is on.
- Open the printer ink cover, and then press down the cartridge lock lever to release the empty Brother MFC-495CW ink cartridge you wish to replace.
- Take the empty Brother ink out from its slot by pulling it towards you.
- Get your new Brother 495CW ink. Unpack it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Gently insert the new Brother MFC-495CW printer ink into its slot until you hear a click sound, indicating that it is locked in place.
- Close the printer ink access cover.
