Brother HL-L5100DNT Toner Replacement Guide
- Turn on your printer and allow it to cool down for about 10 minutes to avoid any risks from hot components.
- Gently open the front cover of the printer to access the drum unit and toner.
- Take out the drum unit assembly carefully to expose the toner cartridge.
- Push down on the green lock lever to release the old toner cartridge, then pull it out of the drum unit.
- Unpack the new toner cartridge from its packaging. Gently shake the cartridge side to side several times to evenly distribute the toner inside and remove the protective cover from the cartridge.
- Align the new cartridge with the drum unit and slide it in until you hear it click securely into place.
- Slide the green tab on the drum unit from one side to the other several times to clean the primary corona wire. Ensure the tab is returned to its original position when finished.
- Place the drum unit, now equipped with the new toner cartridge, back into the printer.
- Securely close the printer’s front cover to finish the process.
