Brother HL-3150CDW Toner Replacement Guide
- Ensure that your printer is on.
- Lift the printer's top cover until it locks in place to open it. Leave it as is for 10 minutes before you proceed for the printer to cool down.
- Take out the drum unit with the empty Brother HL-3150CDW toner cartridge from your printer.
- Remove the toner out of the drum unit by pushing down the lock lever.
- Get your new Brother HL-3150CDW cartridges and gently rock them six times from side to side to evenly spread the toner powder.
- Unpack the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the toner cartridges. Avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the new toner Brother 3150CDW into its drum until you hear a clicking sound, indicating that it is locked in place.
- Before installing your Brother toner and drum into the printer, clean the drum unit's corona wire first by gently sliding the green tab from left to right and vice versa several times to avoid vertical stripes on printed pages.
- Install the drum unit with the Brother toner HL-3150CDW in it into the printer.
- Close the printer's top cover.
