Brother HL-1210W Toner Cartridge Replacement Guide

  1. Open the printer's top cover.
  2. Carefully pull the drum unit assembly out from the printer.
  3. Push the lever to release the toner cartridge from the drum unit. This lever is usually in color blue. Once released, remove the toner cartridge from the drum unit.
  4. Get your new CompAndSave Brother 1210W toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  5. Carefully align and insert the new Brother HL-1210W cartridge into the drum unit. Slide the green plastic tab about three times, and make sure to put it back to its original position.
  6. Insert the drum unit assembly back into the printer, then close the printer's top cover.

Brother HL-1210W Toner Cartridge FAQs

What kind of toner does a Brother HL-1210W use?

The Brother HL-1210W printer uses the Brother TN1060 black toner cartridge. CompAndSave offers compatible Brother toner cartridges that are designed to match or exceed the OEM specification. This means that you can get the same print quality and number of prints as the original but at a much more affordable price.

Can I refill my Brother toner cartridge?

Yes, genuine Brother toner cartridges are refillable. However, it is not recommended since you have to replace some parts of the toner as well. If you think of refilling an empty toner cartridge, please bear in mind the following pros and cons. The major advantage of refilling is cost-efficiency. It'll be a way cheaper option rather than purchasing a new genuine one. On the other hand, refilled toner cartridges can have issues with print quality and durability. The toner consists of different parts, such as rolling gears, cleaning blades, etc. These parts wear out over time, which can cause noise when printing, low-quality printouts, and even leakage inside the printer. Another thing to look into is the imaging drum; this holds the image before the toner powder is applied to the paper. Just like the toner, parts of the imaging drum also wear and tear over time.

To sum it all up, we highly encourage you to have it refilled through stores that offer refilling services instead. If you choose to purchase a new one, we at CompAndSave offer a wide variety of cheap printer toner cartridges at a much lower price without compromising its quality. Our toners are manufactured to meet or exceed the OEM specifications, which will save you from all the trouble of going through the process of refilling a toner cartridge.

Is it OK to use compatible toner cartridges?

Absolutely! CompAndSave's generic, compatible, replacement, or remanufactured toner cartridges are not only manufactured for consumers to save money but also they are designed to match the OEM specifications. This means that you can get the same print quality and the number of prints without paying as much compared to the original ones. Using these types of cartridges will not void your printer's warranty, so you can shop and use them without any worries.
