How do I install Brother MFC-9840CDW toner cartridges on my printer?
- Make sure your printer is turned on, then open the front cover of your laser printer.
- Hold the drum unit's green handle. Lift the drum unit and draw it out till it comes to a stop.
- Remove the used toner cartridge from the drum unit by holding the handle, then lifting it.
- Slide the green tab side to side repeatedly to clean the corona wire within the drum unit.
- Get your new CompAndSave Brother MFC-9840CDW toner cartridges. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case of powder leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the toner cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color along with the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Slide the Brother MFC-9840CDW cartridge into the drum unit until it snaps into place.
- Push the drum unit until it stops, then close your printer’s front cover.
